Through an approach that emphasizes compassion and non-judgment, I seek to create a safe space where you can explore your feelings, beliefs, and experiences without fear of criticism or rejection. Boulder, CO

I am a seasoned psychotherapist with over 20 years experience. I help people to rapidly get to the core issues which keep them stuck in their lives, be it difficulties in their relationships or chronic depression/anger/anxiety, to name a few. The avoidance of painful thoughts/feelings, either from past or recent events is what creates suffering. When we avoid these painful experiences, we develop symptoms or problems. The treatment approaches I use are evidence-based, meaning they've been researched, tested, and proven to work. My work integrates somatic experiencing, attachment and psychodynamic theory, and CBT. I take Aetna insurance, but not Aetna EAP.

Anxiety, sadness, loneliness, low self-esteem, self-doubt, distress, difficulty sleeping and discomfort in our bodies are indicators that we need support. I am passionate about helping clients navigate difficult transitions, using these challenges as catalysts for healing and growth. With over 25 years of experience in various therapeutic modalities, I provide client-centered and trauma-responsive therapy grounded in compassion and empathy. It is a privilege to guide clients in processing and integrating past and present experiences. I employ Internal Family Systems (IFS) "parts work" (an approach that helps us understand and heal from past experiences by identifying and addressing different parts of our psyche), attachment theory, EMDR and Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy (IPSRT).

I am Shana Dobson, also known as Shana "Danger" Dobson, former UFC fighter. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor that has navigated marginalization in athletic, social, and mental health related spaces. I knew firsthand the importance of mental health community and support, being a Black, queer, neurodiverse, masculine presenting, first generation American with Jamaican roots. Mainstream mental health care was not built for everyone. Marginalized communities often face the additional burden of educating their therapist about their own lives — and that burden gets in the way of healing. At Path2Peace, we believe every person deserves a clinician who brings genuine, lived understanding — not just cultural competency training. We use the word communities intentionally, because every identity we serve represents a community with power, beauty, and resilience. Our practice is fully telehealth, Colorado-based, and rooted in affirming, intersectional care. As a proud professional athlete, I understand what it means to exist at the intersection of multiple identities in spaces that were not always built for you. That knowledge is not incidental to my clinical work — it is central to it. Path2Peace is a space that not only acknowledges these realities, but supports and empowers the communities impacted by them. I created Path2Peace because I know what it feels like to walk into a space and immediately wonder whether you're truly welcome there. This practice is my answer to that feeling: a fully telehealth practice in Colorado built on the belief that clients from marginalized communities deserve therapists who share their lived experience — not just clinicians who've attended a training about them. This practice is growing, and I'm excited to connect with clients who are ready to begin their journey and therapists who are ready to practice in a space that honors everything they are.

These stories have come from harmful religious experiences, childhood trauma, as well as social messaging such as heterosexism, racism, ableism, sizeism cisgenderism, etc. We have the tools to help you be the agent of your own healing. We believe everyone has the innate capacity to heal from distressing experiences in order to move forward and be their authentic compassionate selves.

Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Northfield, VT

My practice primarily serves LGBTQ+, queer, trans, and gender-expansive adults, alongside individuals navigating complex trauma, relational patterns, and perinatal mental health concerns. My clinical approach is supportive, affirming, trauma-informed, and grounded in relational and attachment-based frameworks. I integrate an awareness of how systems of power, identity, and lived experience shape mental health, and I strive to hold both individual healing and broader context in view. I have specialized focus in complex trauma, including childhood trauma, relational trauma, and attachment wounds. Many of my clients are exploring identity development, processing experiences of minority stress, or seeking a therapeutic space where they can fully express their gender and sexual identities without needing to justify or defend them. I also provide affirming care for individuals during pregnancy, postpartum transitions, fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, and other reproductive experiences. I am particularly mindful of the unique emotional and systemic considerations that may arise for LGBTQ+ individuals and families during these periods. While no therapeutic space can be perfectly free from the impact of broader social forces, I am deeply committed to creating a therapy environment that feels brave, collaborative, and respectful. I engage in ongoing consultation, supervision, and continuing education to support culturally responsive and identity-affirming care. My work is guided by trauma-informed principles, a commitment to equity and inclusion, and respect for client autonomy and self-determination. I view therapy as a collaborative process where clients are supported in deepening self-understanding, strengthening resilience, and moving toward meaningful change.

I offer therapy for students dealing with: depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship issues, and EMDR for those recovering from traumatic and life disturbing experiences. I also teach practical skills utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy on mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. We often seek therapy when we're ready for change and part of our life has become unbalanced. A feeling of discontent, depression, or anxiety may have lasted a lifetime, or may have been initiated by a transitional change, such as loss of a relationship or career, or a yearning to grow beyond where we have been stuck. The crux of what I do is help you integrate the various parts that make up your whole being: your emotional, mental, physical and spiritual selves. I use a variety of methods to help facilitate this process, validated by latest neuroscience research. My work is founded on the notion that we are already whole, wise and compassionate. My services aim to help you reconnect with your innate sense of goodness and wellbeing. By beginning to integrate the various aspects of your being, you will begin to trust your natural capacity to thrive.

Hi, I'm Larry - owner and currently primary therapist at Growth Odyssey LLC. Thanks for stopping by! I prefer to utilize a relaxed, approachable style to facilitate easy conversation and connection. I change therapy modalities periodically to best match where you are at with your process. I can use humor to help cut tension and set a pace for conversation that doesn't get too overwhelming. I believe that good therapy is like searching for treasure underwater - we want to go down, sift through the sand and mud, look for buried treasure, and periodically take moments to come up for air. I'm happy to meet you where you're at in your journey and help you find your way. I'm trained: I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UCCS Colorado Springs with additional training for addiction treatment. I've completed trainings for EMDR, ACT, trauma informed care, and many other areas to give me a well-rounded toolbox to work with. I'm experienced: I have worked in most levels of care, from weekly therapy sessions to inpatient rehab for substance use disorders and hospitalization for suicidal thoughts and severe psychiatric distress. I've experienced working with a broad range of issues which means I likely have some experience related to what you are going through.
