To support you in living a more meaningful, joyful, authentic life, I combine talk therapy, art therapy, positive psychology, and neuroscience approaches. Our work together will help you develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to overcome depression, reduce anxiety, manage stress, successfully navigate life transitions, and build stronger relationships. Whether you are new to college, trying to make the most of this time in your life, or anticipating what comes after graduation, I provide therapeutic support to process your experiences, and to grow from them in resilient, empowering ways. My approach is very collaborative, individualized, and focused on building long-term mental wellness. I offer a risk-free consultation appointment to meet and discuss your goals for therapy. Do you have insomnia or struggle with nightmares? Want to improve your mood, reduce worry/anxious thoughts, change unwanted behaviors, or better manage a tough relationship? My niche is working with clients seeking medium to short-term (1 year or less), goal-oriented counseling. Studies show many people benefit from this more focused approach. Sometimes even a handful of sessions can get you moving in a better direction! I'll help you identify realistic, concrete steps to make the changes you want to see in your life & together we'll create a plan to work toward your goals. (Note: this is not a good fit for every person/problem.) I'm a Psychologist with 22 years of experience & work with adults age 18+. I use evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and integrate aspects of ACT & Mindfulness if appropriate for your needs. I'm also trained in CBT for Insomnia & CBT-Nightmares, both of which are shown to have positive benefits on other mental health symptoms. It can be hard to start counseling, especially if this is your first time or you found counseling un-helpful in the past. Good for you for taking this first step toward feeling better! Let's schedule a 15 minute phone conversation to find out what you're looking to accomplish through counseling & if we might be a good fit. Please note: I do not provide assessments/testing, and I do not write letters/complete forms for Emotional Support Animals, probation, court/legal situations, disabilities, ADHD, learning disorders, etc..

Hi and welcome to my page! If you are reading this, you may be on the fence about seeking help or confused about what to look for in a therapist, so here are some things you may find helpful to know about me. I am passionate about helping college students and young adults navigate the challenges of this period of life. I work best with those who struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, self-worth, imposter syndrome, body image, identity, sexual and spiritual identities, trauma/PTSD, codependency and relationship challenges. Basically, I'd love to walk beside you as you figure out who you are, want you want in life, how to be in healthy relationships and find meaningful work, how to balance academics with self-care and all kinds of things! I am passionate about your age group because meaningful, positive changes is so achievable and within reach for you, and I really could have used some guidance that was missing from my life when I was in college. My favorite therapeutic approaches include EMDR, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, and holistic approaches that help us unify mind, body and spirit.
