I’m a therapist who believes you can be both deeply thoughtful and occasionally overwhelmed by your own brain—because, well, you’re human. I specialize in working with people navigating trauma, high-functioning anxiety, and/or depression—especially those who look like they “have it all together” on the outside while quietly carrying a lot on the inside. If you’re the reliable one, the overthinker, the person others turn to (but rarely pause to ask how you’re doing), you’re in the right place. I am a Clinical Social Worker and a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist. Together, we’ll create a personalized therapy experience that supports your goals—whether you want to reduce anxious thoughts, lift your mood, process trauma, or simply feel more grounded and at home in your body. If you are interested in a telehealth meeting from anywhere in Minnesota, please let me know! Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you make sense of your experiences, build resilience, and reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been buried under stress, expectations, or past pain. You don't need to carry it all on your own.
I am passionate about working with adolescents and young adults to navigate the challenges of anxiety, depression, life transitions, and building healthy coping skills. My approach is strengths-based, client-centered, and collaborative. I believe in empowering you to recognize your own resilience and take an active role in your healing journey. Together, we’ll work to identify your goals, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools that support lasting growth and change. Creating a safe, welcoming space is at the core of my work. Clients often describe me as approachable, understanding, and easy to talk to. I aim to meet you where you are—with warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for your unique experiences. You don’t have to have everything figured out. I'm here to support you, every step of the way. Please schedule a meeting for us to connect!
I specialize in working with teenagers and young adults who are currently feeling the anxiety, overwhelm and pressure that come with this stage of life. Teenagers and young adults who feel the overwhelm and stress that comes with trying to be perfect and fitting into everything that comes with this age range, I am the therapist for you. With deep understanding, I hold hope that meaningful change is possible whether through individual, group or family therapy. Together we'll explore what might be underneath the withdrawal, burnout or shutdown response that comes with this pressure. We'll uncover patterns and build insight around what may no longer be working for you. From there, we'll create a practical plan with real tools to help you, your teen or young adult feel more confident.

I enjoy using humor with my clients, make sure to celebrate successes throughout the therapeutic journey, and use a balance of challenging and encouragement to foster growth. With over 20 years of experience, Stacy seamlessly blends the rich traditions of therapy with innovative techniques. As a Clinical Social Worker, her advanced credentials in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Mental Emotional Release® (MER), and Hypnosis mark her as a leading Change Navigator™, especially for college students navigating significant life transitions. Stacy holds a powerful belief: each individual, especially during their transformative college years, has the capability to 'reprogram' their mind, much like software updates. This conviction, shaped by countless student interactions, showcases the adaptability and resilience inherent in young adults. Stacy delves deep, identifying old mindsets and behaviors, which often take root during early years, and can impact academic performance and emotional wellbeing. Her approach is a harmonious fusion of science and empathy. By combining the communication skills of NLP, the emotional release of MER, and the transformative states of Hypnosis, Stacy offers students a holistic therapeutic journey. While she employs time-tested methods, she also ensures her strategies remain current and relatable. Many of the students Stacy connects with share common experiences: they are navigating the challenges of young adulthood, adjusting to college life, and aiming to define their future paths. She sees therapy, coaching, and consulting as interlinked, allowing her to tailor her interventions to each student's unique story. Stacy believes in collaboration; students set their course, and she serves as their trusted guide. Together, they work to ensure that every student embarks on a journey of discovery, resilience, and positive transformation.

Are you a college or graduate student who feels like you’re constantly trying to keep up? Maybe you’re overwhelmed by school, work, relationships, and everything else you’re expected to figure out. Even when you’re doing well, you still feel like you’re not doing enough. You may be dealing with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, low self-esteem, or the pressure to have your future figured out. I specialize in working with college students, graduate students, and young adults navigating these challenges. I understand that being a student isn’t just about academics. You’re also figuring out who you are, what you want, how to manage relationships, and how to build a life that feels meaningful all while dealing with the pressure to succeed. My goal is to help you feel less overwhelmed and more confident in your ability to handle whatever comes next. Together, we’ll identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck and develop practical skills to manage anxiety, cope with stress, and improve self-confidence. We’ll use evidence-based approaches including CBT and DBT, while tailoring therapy to your individual needs and goals. I take a warm, collaborative approach to therapy. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start, and you don’t have to wait until things feel “bad enough” to reach out. Whether you’re struggling to keep up with school, feeling burned out, questioning yourself, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can be a space to slow down, understand what’s happening, and figure out what you want your next chapter to look like. If you’re looking for a therapist who will listen without judgment while also giving you practical tools you can actually use, I’d love to connect. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit.

Micah self-identifies as a "professional student" and understands the many stresses associated with leaving home and attending college. He also believes that everybody needs someone to talk to sometime so nobody should ever feel stigmatized for seeking mental health help.
We have been taught that emotions are not meant to be felt but rather controlled. To hide the bad ones and only show the good ones. That sitting in them for too long means we are either dramatic, obsessive, or abnormal. If you have ever been told, either by others in your life or you yourself, that your emotions are too much or too complicated, I would like to say, “I hear you, and I am here for you.” In our sessions I would like to provide you with an environment where your emotional expression is celebrated and not reprimanded as I believe we can begin to heal once we have allowed ourselves to fully feel, without judgment or policing. Whether that is guilt, shame, sadness, anger, grief, anxiousness, and anything in between, we can work on processing them together at your own pace. I know that starting therapy can be a daunting and overwhelming task. However, getting the help you deserve and finding a therapist that fits your needs is already the first step!
