am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner providing collaborative, holistic, and client-oriented care. My approach to treatment emphasizes improving self-esteem, enhancing meaning, and reducing suffering. I have an in-depth knowledge of psychiatric medications and their ability to increase energy, reduce symptoms, and improve daily functioning. However, medications are only one aspect of overall treatment. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing, which I use to address issues with relationships, anxiety, and life transitions. I have worked in mental health for over 10 years and am committed to utilizing my broad experience to address your specific mental health goals. I look forward to working together soon.
At Mind Aware, we believe in treating the whole person, rather than just their symptoms. We offer a range of evidence-based therapies, including medication management, psychotherapy, and complementary and alternative therapies, to help clients achieve optimal mental health and wellbeing.
Individuals who find Advika Anand, therapist and EMDR practitioner, are often feeling stuck—trapped in cycles of overthinking, stress, or sadness. Life may feel like sinking in quicksand, with thoughts and emotions pulling them deeper the more they struggle. Many notice recurring patterns—emotional, physical, or relational—that feel difficult to change, no matter how much effort they have made. Advika’s approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma-informed, and rooted in both somatic and evidence-based practices. She works alongside clients to create a sense of safety, build self-awareness, and gently explore the root causes of distress at a pace that feels comfortable. Central to her process is recognizing the deep connection between mind and body. Drawing from EMDR therapy, relational psychotherapy, mindfulness, and DBT, Advika helps clients regulate emotions, heal from past experiences, and strengthen their relationships—with themselves and others. Her work often involves processing trauma, building emotional resilience, and developing practical skills for personal growth. Advika believes that healing is a two-step process: addressing sources of distress while also equipping clients with mental and emotional tools to thrive.

I am a NY licensed clinical psychologist with 25+ years of experience. I integrate different psychotherapy approaches in a non-judgemental, empathic, culturally sensitive, warm and supporting environment. I help people work through relationship problems, stress, depression, history of trauma, anxiety, adjusting to college life, academic pressure, and interpersonal issues, among other issues.
Leading with compassion, our therapists support individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and life challenges, whether related to academics, navigating relationships, questions around identity or self-image, transitions, stress or grief. We are client-centered and work collaboratively to empower our clients toward growth and greater fulfillment using modalities including EMDR, Gestalt Therapy, EFT and somatic therapy. Many of us also have experience with meditation and mindfulness practices.
TriBeCa Therapy is a center for psychotherapy that was founded on the assumption that human beings are original, imaginative, inspired, and inventive. We particularly love our work with young adults and college students and are connected to issues they deal with. Issues related to sex and dating, drugs and drinking, depression and anxiety and academic pressures aren’t topics that will freak us out. We can handle it. College students frequently discuss with us challenges related to making friends in ways that don’t involve alcohol, making friends as a person of color, navigating social situations that demand connecting with strangers (like in the cafeteria) and finding “their people.” We work to create a partnership that takes these challenges on together, trying new strategies, taking increasingly bigger risks and dealing with the disappointments and celebrating the successes that follow. I also have expertise in working with all manner of questions related to sexuality, gender, and relationships of all kinds. In working with me, you can expect to find an attentive listener who will help you gain insight and work toward more effective coping strategies. Some days you’ve got it together. Other days, it feels like everything’s falling apart—classes, friendships, dating, or just trying to keep up. If stress, anxiety, or feeling down is making it tough to focus, connect with people, or feel like yourself, you’re not the only one. Therapy gives you space to talk it out—no pressure, no judgment—so you can figure out what’s really going on and start feeling more grounded and confident. I bring warmth, creativity, and a sense of humor into the room, because therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. If you’re ready to feel a little lighter—and a lot less alone—let’s get started.
Do you feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or big life changes? Many students come to me feeling stuck, pressured to have everything figured out, or caught between growing independence and complicated family or social dynamics. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself. I’m Kaylie, a Licensed Master Social Worker, and I help people manage anxiety, depression, identity concerns, and everyday stress that starts to feel like “too much.” I focus on getting to know you—what you care about, what feels hard, and what you want to change. Together, we’ll use practical tools and strategies (like problem-solving skills, coping techniques, and supportive conversations) to help you feel more grounded and confident. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and never judged. Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating. You don’t need to have the perfect words or a clear plan. You just need a place to start. If you’re ready, I’m here to support you.
Hello! I am a clinical social worker with a particular interest in life transitions, neurodiversity and climate psychology. I often work with creatives(and creatively inclined people). My approach: I have advanced training in Gestalt Therapy, an experiential, non-hierarchical and existential approach to therapy. I work relationally, and will meet you where you are in your life right now, in the moment. While we will sometimes look at past experiences, most of our work together will develop through looking at patterns that come up in therapy. Whether you are experiencing symptoms that seem to get in the way of your day to day, or want to explore what you can learn through looking at all of the many facets that make up who you are, I'd love to be part of your journey.
