At Apex Integrated Therapy Services, we understand that college and young adulthood can bring exciting opportunities along with stress, uncertainty, and significant life changes. Balancing academics, relationships, family expectations, work, identity, and plans for the future can sometimes feel overwhelming, and you do not have to navigate those challenges alone. Our therapists provide a supportive, welcoming space for college students, graduate students, and young adults seeking help with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem, identity, emotional regulation, academic or performance concerns, and other challenges that may affect their well-being. At Apex, therapy is collaborative and individualized. We recognize that your experiences, culture, relationships, and personal goals all shape who you are and what you may need from therapy. Our goal is to help you better understand yourself, develop practical tools for navigating challenges, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful changes that extend beyond the therapy room. We offer both in-person therapy in Houston and secure telehealth services throughout Texas, with flexible appointment options based on therapist availability.

If you’re looking to heal from traumatic experiences, explore your interpersonal relationships, and clarify your life’s values, I might be the right fit for you. I have been trained in a range of evidence-based, short and long term trauma and depression therapy approaches.

I’m Lizzie Holley, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) based in Collin County. I help adults (18+) who are seeking support, healing, and greater self-understanding. I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, life and faith transitions, grief, religious and spiritual trauma, chronic illness, medical trauma, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. I’m LGBTQ+ affirming and committed to creating a space where clients feel safe showing up fully as themselves. I also bring lived experience navigating disability and chronic medical challenges, which informs my work with clients coping with chronic illness, medical trauma, and adapting to bodies or lives that haven’t unfolded as expected. My approach to therapy is warm, honest, relational, direct, and grounded in curiosity. I believe healing happens in spaces where people feel seen rather than judged. Therapy with me is collaborative. We’ll work together to better understand your patterns, emotions, relationships, and story while building practical tools for growth and resilience. I draw from approaches including CBT, ACT, narrative, and somatic therapy, while always tailoring the process to the individual sitting in front of me.
Are you navigating an ‘it’s complicated’ relationship? Do you feel crazy, like you can’t trust yourself? Have you found out your partner has betrayed you? Are you ready to process through childhood trauma to end generational curses? It is my passion and honor to focus on women’s issues, relationship issues, and trauma. I believe in tracing symptoms to their roots. My approach to counseling is about creating a space of trust and rapport to collect dots, to connect dots, to ultimately, correct the dots. I utilize EMDR, somatic experiencing, and behavior therapy to respond to how past unresolved experiences are coming up and creating obstacles in present life. If you’re ready to do the work, you have access to freedom from things that are no longer serving you and an opportunity to move toward a brighter and more secure future.
Having the ability to express yourself freely and without judgment is an essential part of therapy, and the relationship between client and therapist is a key aspect of this. As a social worker, I recognize the importance of human relationships and the environment we live in, as well as the negative impact they have on our ability to function. I utilize a person-centered, strengths based approach to understand individuals as a whole, and work collaboratively with clients to address their challenges and reach their goals. I provide individual therapy focusing on anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Identifying as a nonbinary lesbian myself, I understand how difficult it is to find a competent provider with whom you feel safe and understood. If you’ve made it this far, I encourage you to take the next step and reach out so we can see if this would be a good fit for both of us.

Let's work together to talk about your struggles and how we can put a plan in place to better to yourself!
Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker who practiced in a college counseling setting for over 4 years and I have 15 years of counseling experience total. I continue to work with college students in my private practice and I enjoy working with people to better manage anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, OCD, grief, life transitions, relationship, concerns, and general stress. My practice is body positive and LGBTQ+, immigrant, and international student supportive and affirming. I aim to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for processing fears, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. I use various types of therapy, including ACT, CBT, DBT skills, somatic therapy, schema therapy, ERPT, narrative therapy, and person centered therapy, but I tailor sessions to what works best for you. I also welcome your feedback in the process. I strongly encourage coming to therapy in the way that you are most comfortable - meaning, swear if you feel the need, don't apologize for eating in sessions if you are hungry, show up in your pajamas - whatever. As long as you are safe and comfortable and you are able to talk privately, I support it. I offer a free 15 minute consultation call to see if we are a good fit, because having a therapist you trust and match with is paramount. I offer virtual telehealth sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I offer in person sessions in Kingwood, Texas on Wednesdays. Please feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to connect and I wish you the best in your therapist search!

At RenewU Counseling and Consultation Services, we are here to help you rediscover a path to well-being. I offer compassionate trauma therapy online and in-person in Vernon, TX, and online in OR.
Most of the students I work with are figuring out who they are while juggling school, family, friendships, and their future. Many feel the weight of being “the strong one” for everyone else, but behind closed doors they’re tired, anxious, or questioning if they’re enough. Some are navigating being away from home for the first time, carrying family expectations, or balancing the pressure to succeed with the need to just breathe. Others feel out of place on campus and want a space where they don’t have to explain themselves or code-switch. I connect best with young people under 25 who are ready for honest conversations, who value a therapist that will both listen deeply and challenge them to grow. My goal is to give you room to unpack your story, understand your emotions, and figure out how to move through stress, relationships, and identity with more clarity and confidence.

My path started by working in alternative high schools, and then as a career counselor in management and business development roles for a few universities and military populations. I have over 18 years of experience working in education, career development, and mental health. My experience growing up in Flint, Michigan, and being the first in my family to attend college, shaped how I view and overcome challenges. I specialize in support for working professionals, especially teachers, nurses, and students with anxiety or depression who are struggling in their careers, education, or relationships. Many feel stuck, burnt out, angry, and overwhelmed. Chronic stress makes it hard for them to connect with their instructors, bosses, and peers. Time management is an issue and constantly trying to keep up. Some may prefer to be alone, even though it leads to ruminating over traumatic work experiences and substance use. My clients have demanding jobs and/or class schedules, and are highly trained and accustomed to solving problems. However, no one is immune to the long-term effects of stress and trauma. I have over 18 years working in counseling, higher education, and career development. My communication style is warm, yet solution-focused, often encouraging you to think from the end, build your resilience, and focus on the future. Some clients get what they need to make a positive change in 6-8 sessions. Others enjoy my long-term support to address trauma. First time trying talk therapy? Congrats on taking the first step. I value confidentiality and understand the college campus and workplace cultures. You do not have to go through this alone. Let's get you out of survival mode and start to thrive. Reach out to schedule your complimentary 15-minute consultation today. I look forward to talking with you.
