The therapists at IPCI have a passion for working with clients to help them both cope better in the present as well as to explore, and work through, the underlying factors that fuel and perpetuate recurring problems like anxiety, depression, and relationship troubles. Many of our therapists have additional training in trauma work, including EMDR. Dr. Hanzlik is one of the few AASECT-Certified Sex Therapists in Indiana, and has trained other IPCI therapists to provide effective treatment and a specialization in helping patients work through sexual concerns. We also provide psychological evaluation to clarify diagnoses and provide recommendations for accommodations in academic settings.

Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Clarksville, TN

Hello! My name is Kate, and I've been a therapist for 15 years, and a virtual therapist for 3 years. I have a Masters in Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. I love working with people of all ages, and enjoy addressing a diverse array of issues that impair us from being our best selves. In addition to myself, I work with 4 co-therapists; 3 dogs and a cat! They occassionally make brief appearances during sessions to provide their insight. I generally approach therapy as an equal meeting of you, as the expert on yourself, and me, as someone who can give some qualified insight and ask good questions to guide you to your own answers. I tend to be warm and engaging, and I pull the most from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), although I also use certain tools from other modalities, as well. In our sessions, we will work together to target the areas in which you would like to grow, give you the tools you need in order to produce the desired growth, and tackle sticking points and struggles as you work on applying what we discuss in therapy. I generally will give "homework" between sessions to help you continue to think about and apply what we are working on in your daily life, but it's nothing intense, I promise! Most clients find the "homework" really helpful and even fun, sometimes.

Depression, anxiety, addictions, and relationship struggles have all become commonplace in our culture. Are you struggling to find peace and joy? Have your choices or the choices of others left you feeling broken? Are you searching for hope amidst seemingly hopeless circumstances? "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life." Proverbs 13:12 Faithful Counsel is a group of like-minded, Christian mental health counselors (independently contracted) who desire to see hearts healed through counseling with truth in love. If you have a measure of faith, Faithful Counsel hopes to exhort and encourage you to grow stronger in it. If you are experiencing doubt, aren't sure what you believe, or even consider yourself agnostic or atheist, we would still encourage you to explore the possibility of a loving Creator. God makes many promises to His people, if there's even a remote chance that those promises are true, aren't they worth genuine exploration?

I am a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience. I am accepting new clients who live and/or attend school in Indiana, Colorado or any other state covered by psypact (https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap). If you’re a college student navigating stress, anxiety, academic pressures, or life transitions, you’re not alone. As a clinical psychologist working from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework, I help young adults develop practical skills to manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors more effectively. CBT is an evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors that may be holding you back. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, or self-doubt, therapy can provide you with tools to build resilience, confidence, and a greater sense of well-being. College can be an exciting but overwhelming time. Let’s work together to create strategies that empower you to thrive.

We all experience challenging and sometimes overwhelming periods in life. While turning to friends, family, or faith is often helpful in navigating life's paths, we can also benefit from a trained ear that will listen from the outside. Therapy is a safe place for exploration; a journey towards more fulfilling relationships, a greater sense of emotional, mental and spiritual well-being as well as increased self-esteem. Our work together will provide you with the support, guidance and the tools that you will need to reach your goals.
