Hello! Since obtaining my Masters in Social Work from IUPUI, I have been an individual, family and school-based therapist working with clients of all ages ranging from 3-years-old and up. I have worked with behavioral problems, school-based struggles, addictions, trauma and abuse, depression, anxiety, marital/relationship struggles, mood disorders, counseling before geriatric surgery, self-esteem issues, parenting, grief and loss, clients involved with DCS and probation, and adjusting to life’s changes. I utilize a trauma-focused approach that draws from tenets of strengths-based approaches, CBT, DBT and solution-focused techniques. I believe an important aspect of counseling is a trusting therapeutic relationship. I focus on a non-judgmental and accepting approach as I work to get to know you so that you feel confident and comfortable expressing feelings. Having a good connection with a therapist can help create the foundation for effective change and progress in the counseling experience. With a strong therapeutic relationship, we can work together as a team to work through whatever it is you are facing. You do not have to go through life’s struggles alone. With that, a sense of emptiness and lack of direction can ebb and flow as we move through our existence. Hello! One of the hardest things is feeling like we have hurt or disappointed those closest to us. It’s a struggle every day to keep relationships and even friendships going smoothly. We often disappoint ourselves, and life hasn’t always been what we hoped it would be. Maybe things look good on the surface but inside we feel like everyone else has it figured out while we barely keep it together. It doesn’t have to feel like this, and I can help you feel better through therapy. While in therapy with us you will definitely laugh, you might cry, and you will see changes in your life that you’ve wanted for a long time. Good therapy can help us feel less like a failure and find more success in life. Changing the way we think can change the way we feel and dealing with trauma can help it feel less awful. Therapy can help us be a better partner, friend, or parent. Whether you’re reading this for yourself, for your family, or as a couple we can help you make things better. You'll feel safe and connected while you process the past so life becomes easier and more enjoyable. Our therapists can help you learn skills that will help you feel better about yourself and have better interactions with other people.
As a therapist, I operate from a client centered lens. I look to my clients as the experts of their experiences and the facilitators of their own solutions. My role is to act as a mirror, in order for you to see and know yourself on a deeper and more meaningful level. Through this process, you will be challenged to face things that are uncomfortable, show yourself and others grace, and grow into a better version of yourself. Transformation is a process and requires commitment and dedication from both sides of the client, therapist relationship. I am committed to helping you get there, when you are ready to begin.
At CCH we specialize in Early Intervention and Outpatient Therapy. We provide mental health and substance use services for ages 13 and older.
