I am passionate about supporting the mental health of college students, with over a decade of experience dedicated to this field. We all experience difficult moments in our life journey. I am glad you are here to reflect on those moments and create space for personal growth, peace, and inner strength. I view therapy as a vital layer of support—a confidential space for self-exploration and healing. My hope is that this support empowers you to navigate life’s challenges alongside other sources of strength, such as family, friends, and community. My approach focuses on identifying and strengthening the skills you need to manage symptoms while addressing root causes. This process helps you gain deeper insight into your behaviors, ultimately fostering lasting change. Prevention and holistic well-being are also central to my work. I provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking personal growth and well-being. My focus is on empowering you to overcome challenges and achieve mental and emotional wellness. I believe in the power of therapy as a tool for positive change and am committed to helping you navigate your unique life journey. I received my master’s degree in holistic psychological counseling from Bangalore University in Bangalore, India and my master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. I have been practicing as a licensed psychologist in Michigan since October 2013. Prior to my graduate program at Wright State University, I worked as a mental health counselor for three years in Kerala, India. My clinical approach is integrative, incorporating perspectives and strategies from cognitive-behavioral, systems, feminist, and interpersonal frameworks. I am here to provide you with a safe space to explore the symptoms and challenges that affect your ability to have a meaningful life. I also prioritize a solution-focused approach when addressing mental health issues. It's important to consistently develop and strengthen our skills to manage various life challenges. My areas of clinical interest are anxiety, depression, stress management, self-esteem, holistic health, life transitions, personal growth, coping skills, and college/student transitions. I offer both in-person and telehealth therapy services to meet your individual needs and preferences. In-person sessions are available through GR Therapy Group in Grandville, a practice with a commitment to quality care. For those who prefer the flexibility of remote support, I provide secure and confidential telehealth sessions through Headway. To learn more about my online therapy services and how to get started, please visit eapenpsychologywellness.com. You will also find detailed information about me and my contact details there. I welcome any questions and look forward to connecting with you.

Hey there, I’m Georgia. As a therapist my goal is to put you at ease with the process of therapy, and provide a comfortable, warm environment for all of my clients. I emphasize kindness, respect, humor and open communication in my work. I look to create a safe, protected and professional relationship where we can work together to help you address the things that are causing dysfunction in your life, and create opportunities to experience the power of relationships to engage and to heal. In my practice I blend attachment-based, person-centered, trauma-informed and strength-based approaches. I believe that every human is unique and has a unique story, and that therapy should be tailored to best fit you. I have deep respect for the individuals and families who come to therapy, and always seek to support and honor my client’s strengths and resiliencies. It can be very difficult to take on the commitment of therapy and to open up to someone else, and just showing up to therapy is an act of strength and courage. I seek to maintain an affirming and accepting space for all humans, including LGBTQIA2S+ identified individuals. I have 9 years of experience working in the mental health field in research, school, home-based and clinical settings. I have worked primarily with young children, but have also had experience working with infants, toddlers, teens, young adults, parents, families, and pregnant individuals. I have experience providing therapy to children from difficult places, children in foster care, adoptive children, and children who have experienced trauma. I am passionate about working with children, families with young children, and about helping caregivers to grow stronger connections with themselves and with the children in their care. I also enjoy working with individuals of all ages and believe that it is never too early, nor is anyone ever too old, to benefit from a therapeutic relationship. I have completed foundational training for Theraplay® and am now engaging in work based on Theraplay principles. Theraplay is an approach to child and family therapy that aims to address behavioral, emotional, or developmental issues and improve the parent-child relationship through play and healthy interaction. Caregivers of children up to age 12 are welcome to inquire to learn more about this method. A little about me – I live in South Lansing with my partner and our dog, two cats and a small flock of chickens. I spend most of my free time working to transform my 1.3 acre lawn into an urban farm, food forest, and native plant and wildlife refuge. I find my greatest moments of joy and peace in life through engagement and connection with nature, and love to hike, backpack, camp, kayak and explore new places.

Therapy can be a powerful space to feel seen, understood, and supported, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate whatever life is bringing up. My approach to therapy is warm, empathetic, and collaborative, grounded in the belief that healing happens through authentic connection and a deep understanding of self. I draw from a variety of modalities to tailor our work to your unique needs, including person-centered therapy, emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems, attachment theory, and parts work. I also integrate polyvagal-informed practices to support nervous system regulation and emotional resilience. I work with individuals facing a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, parenting, ADHD, autism, and struggles with self-worth. I also support clients exploring spirituality, managing stress, navigating attachment wounds, or untangling patterns of codependency. At the heart of my work is a deep respect for each person’s story. Whether you're seeking to understand yourself more fully, build healthier relationships, or simply need a safe space to process, I’m here to offer support, insight, and genuine curiosity along the way.

“With the past, I have nothing to do; nor with the future. I live now.” Ralph Waldo Emerson Everyone experiences challenging times or life changes at one point or another. I believe one of the bravest things one can do is begin to understand their own story. I provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment for my clients to explore personal issues, dilemmas, and concerns in a professional setting. My therapy approach is tailored to each client’s needs and preferences, and I pull from several evidence-based modalities. I am compassionate and supportive but willing to be direct in my guidance. I want to partner with my clients to help them gain a better understanding of themselves and how they interact with the world around them. I have worked with both adolescents and adults with a focus on anxiety, depression, and traumatic experiences. My background in Community Mental Health as an outpatient therapist provided me with the experience to support a wide variety of individual needs. My experience has helped me understand that therapy is not a “one fits all” model. Everyone has their own experiences and interpretations of their situations.
