Hello all, I’m Emily. Trying to heal while dealing with the challenges that life entails can be difficult and enraging. I am here to tell you that you do not have to do it alone. I offer non-judgmental and inclusive therapy by providing a safe and comfortable space to explore your emotions and start the healing process. I obtained my B.A. in Psychology from Saint Mary’s College in 2020 and my M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Aquinas College in 2023. I specialize in working with adults (18-30 years of age) and couples. I have experience in working on several issues including depression, anxiety, marital and relational issues, sexuality, test anxiety, and academic performance issues. My approach to counseling consists of letting you, the client, direct our sessions. I am here to offer my professional help using techniques and interventions. These techniques involve journaling, mindfulness strategies, grounding techniques, coping skills, and many more. We will work together to find the treatment plan and goals that feel right for you.

I use a warm and empathetic approach to therapy, which can be incredibly beneficial to my clients. My focus on creating a comfortable and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings allows me to tailor my methods to each client’s specific needs. I have 14 years of experience which brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to the therapeutic relationship, especially with my use of various therapeutic techniques in conjunction with my eclectic theoretical orientation. Clients seeking therapy with me can expect a supportive environment where they can work through challenges and gain new perspectives. Creating a space that feels comfortable and friendly really helps clients open up and explore their thoughts and feelings more freely. Coupled with my various therapeutic techniques displays my well-rounded approach. That helps you reach your therapy goals, quickly.

We offer psychological testing to individuals aged 16 and older. We specialize in evaluations for ADHD, autism, and complex mental health concerns. Our owner, Dr. Jessi Manning, completed most of her training and the first 5 years of her career focused solely on college students, and she maintains a passion for this population. We are focused on neurodiversity and other aspects of diversity, especially in regard to sexual orientation and gender identity. You can begin the testing process by scheduling a free 15 minute phone consultation from the website.

I specialize in supporting high-achieving professionals, especially those in academia or the helping profession (doctors, nurses, therapists, pastors), who grapple with perfectionism, difficulty setting boundaries, codependency, and the challenge of prioritizing their own needs amidst the many demands of their personal and professional lives. As an immigrant, I bring a rich, cross-cultural perspective to therapy and a deep appreciation for how culture shapes identity, relationships, and mental health. Many of my clients are navigating complex intersections of cultural expectations, academic roles, and personal values. In addition to my clinical practice, I am a professor and active researcher. My academic work focuses on interpersonal trauma and its impact on relationships and meaning-making. This dual identity as both clinician and scholar informs my approach: deeply reflective, integrative, and grounded in both science and lived experience. I work exclusively via Telehealth with adult clients residing in GA, MI, and TX. I believe that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship—one that offers both safety and challenges patterns by providing direct and honest feedback. If you're ready to invest in yourself and your well-being, I invite you to reach out.

I work with teens and adults who are thoughtful, sensitive, and often high-functioning, but are carrying more than others can see. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, or feeling caught in patterns that are hard to change. My work is neurodivergent-affirming. This means I don’t see ADHD, autism, or other forms of neurodivergence as problems to fix, but as important parts of how you experience the world. Whether you have a diagnosis or are simply exploring, I offer a space to better understand your brain, reduce shame, and build a life that honors your needs and strengths. I also support clients navigating trauma, grief, religious or spiritual hurt, identity shifts, and major life transitions. I offer a grounded, respectful space for exploring emotion, meaning, and self-connection. My approach integrates somatic awareness, relational depth, and gentle structure to bring steadiness and coherence. I honor grief, sensitivity, and identity work as pathways toward clarity, healing, and renewal. I am also trained in Brainspotting, a somatic therapy and am working toward becoming ADHD-CCDP certified. Therapy can offer steadiness, a place to listen inward, integrate, and reconnect with yourself. It would be an honor to be a part of your support team.

I believe mental health is just as essential as physical health. Just as we care for our bodies, we deserve the same attention and compassion for our emotional well-being. Therapy isn’t just about managing symptoms—it’s about understanding yourself on a deeper level, finding clarity, and making space for your story to be seen and heard. Every person has a unique journey shaped by their experiences, relationships, and inner world. I see therapy as a space where you can explore that journey without judgment. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you as you make sense of where you’ve been and where you want to go. My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and collaboration. I work to create a supportive, open environment where you can feel safe to be yourself, reflect on your patterns, and begin to grow in ways that feel meaningful to you. Your story matters. I’m here to help you uncover the strength, insight, and resilience that’s already within you. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Michigan State University, where I developed a strong foundation in clinical practice, mental health advocacy, and trauma-informed care. My professional experience includes working in an inpatient behavioral health hospital, where I supported individuals experiencing acute mental health crises in a highly structured and intensive care setting. I also spent time in community mental health, providing services to individuals living with severe and persistent mental illnesses, helping them navigate complex challenges with compassion and consistency. In addition, I’ve provided individual counseling through a nonprofit agency, offering support to clients from diverse backgrounds as they worked through issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma.
