As a visual artist who uses creative processes to support mental health, I work with those who gravitate towards writing, music, dance, and visual arts. My personal understanding of the creative process and how it can be adapted to support people emotionally and mentally comes into play as we work together to create a safe place for exploration. I especially love working with young adults who are defining their identity and dealing with anxiety and overwhelm during this transition. I look forward to seeing how your creativity can be used as a strength in your times of need. accepting virtual and in-person appointments.
My clients are often either grieving, caring for a parent or spouse, or experiencing their own chronic or terminal illness. Many of my clients are adult children caring for an aging parent.

It is amazing how life can take us in so many different directions? Some roads may be exciting and new, but there are also times when we come across a challenge that may be difficult to handle on our own; we feel unable to deal with it. You do not need to manage this on your own, talking with someone can help with giving you direction, help you understand why you are feeling this way and how to make things better for yourself and /or others around you. Life can be messy, it can catch us off guard. We can find ourselves treading water and the things that used to keep us afloat aren’t working quite so well. Old wounds can dull our spark. If we’re human, we’ve all been there. I work with children, teens, and adults who are experiencing anxiety and depression, grief due to a death or those anticipating a loss, a life threatening medical diagnosis, anaphylactic food allergies and accompanying stressors, trauma, and parents with perinatal mood disorders. I also support families navigating LGBTQIA issues. I have specialized training in play therapy, trauma interventions, bereavement, and perinatal mood disorders. I have a commitment to an open and affirming practice for all. My approach is to partner with clients to form a safe and supportive relationship to explore more flexible ways of being in relationship with yourself and the world. Finding a therapist who is a good fit is one of the strongest predictors of the effectiveness of your therapy experience. I offer complimentary phone consultations to assist in determining if we are a good match.

Hi there! I am so excited to sit with you and be present as you engage in the therapeutic process. Taking the walk to receive the care you deserve is often the hardest step, so I am excited to be here with you to cheer you through it! In this life, we face a whirlwind of different scenarios that may create ups and downs in our timeline. And even more often, our internal voice may guide us in a way that sets us back. Together, as we establish our therapeutic relationship, I will work with you to empower you and help you explore how to reach your full potential! As a growing counselor, I have been able to gain a breadth of different experiences throughout my education. Hailing from Western Michigan University, I have had experiences working with individuals with developmental disabilities (behavioral) and was fascinated by people’s different stories and how all of our domains in life affect us in so many different ways! As I embarked on the clinical route, I have had experience working in individual and group counseling settings. As a neurodivergent individual myself, I understand what it’s like to feel those struggles inside and outside of ourselves. I aim to create a space for you to have that voice, the tools, and structural pieces to bring to the outside world. In our work, I often explore from a CBT, DBT, ACT, person-centered, and/or humanistic perspective. I also integrate faith-based counseling, spirituality counseling, as well as mindfulness based practices to help navigate the intersection between physical and mental growth. I work with anyone in our space from ages 13-100+, offering both individual and, now, group services (please reach out for more info on group, if interested)! In this space, my biggest goal is to recognize, ensure, and promote your safety and comfort, and collaboratively create a plan tailored to your success and well-being with the right tools for you. I will act as the facilitator to your growth, where you will always be the expert. My clinical interests involve working with neurodivergent individuals (autism, ADHD), life transitions, self-identity, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, anger management, boundary-setting/communication, relationship issues, as well as trauma-focused work. I’m excited to meet with you and look forward to what’s to come!
My hearts desire is to walk along side people when life is hard (because it is hard for everyone, at some point) and help them find the peace and joy they desire. My foundation, my rock is Faith and that is at the core of who I am. But I know that is not everyone’s truth and I have worked with so many people who have different beliefs. When I worked in hospice, there was always a spiritual component, we always asked patients what their meaning of life is. Whatever that is for you, I want to walk along side of that. My experience as a coach, a youth leaders, an oldest of four daughters...I have seen so many young girls seeking for something that is missing. Seeking for a sense of belonging, seeking for Love and sense of worthiness. I want to help you discover that. I want to walk this hard journey with you. We are not meant to do this life alone.

Either way, you will receive my most authentic self, honesty in your journey, and a depth of specialized trainings to guide your experience.
