You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges on your own. There are times when the weight of stress, anxiety, grief, self-doubt, or major life changes can feel overwhelming, and reaching out for support can be difficult. If you’ve been carrying more than you can manage by yourself, know that seeking help is not a sign of weakness, but an investment in you and your future.
I’ve always known I was meant to help others, and becoming a therapist has allowed me to do just that. I’m passionate about helping people heal, grow, and feel like the best versions of themselves. I work at Restore Therapy Collective in Grand Rapids offering both in person and telehealth sessions. I work with kids, teens, and adults on ADHD, anxiety, autism, life transitions, school issues, relationships, and trauma. I am also dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence. With a background as a school social worker and education in play therapy, motivational interviewing, CBT, and EMDR, I take a person-centered approach to help clients build resilience and find what works for them. Outside of here, I enjoy traveling, photography, trying new restaurants, reading, and spending time with my two cats, family, and friends. I’m grateful to support my Michigan community and would be honored to help you on your journey!
I work with all individuals age 18 and older if any gender. My practice focuses mainly on anxiety and depression, but I have a lot of experience in addiction. I’ve also worked with chronic pain, some trauma and have access for referral to trauma specialists. I am wanting to help in crisis situations and I personally am available for short term pro bono.

I work with young women and LGBTQ+ folks with anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing tendencies. You set goals for yourself that aren’t reachable, and you feel like you’re failing, though from the outside it may look like you have it together. You know that the patterns in your life aren’t working, yet it’s hard to identify what to change and make those changes on your own. It’s a big step to even recognize that you might benefit from therapy. Therapy can help you make those changes so that you can relate differently to yourself, your loved ones, and the stress & loss in your life. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Together, we can untangle old narratives, identify the things that aren’t working in your life, and develop new coping methods that work for you. Therapy depends on us developing a safe relationship from which we can explore your feelings and concerns. In our therapy sessions, you can expect compassion as well as a focus on practical skills on how to relate differently to the stress and loss in your life. I prioritize developing a safe relationship between the two of us in therapy, from which we discuss your relationships with yourself and with others. My practice is antiracist, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and HAES informed. I have immediate openings for teletherapy and in-person therapy. In addition to my regular hours (8am-5pm), I can offer evening appointments upon request. You can schedule a free 15-minute video consultation at my website, sierralarsontherapy.com.

I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies, including EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailoring these approaches to your unique needs and goals. Compassion, curiosity, and respect guide every step of our work together. As a trained EMDR therapist, I offer this powerful, healing approach when we mutually decide it’s a good fit. EMDR can help your mind and body process distressing experiences and restore a greater sense of calm and stability.
