College life can be both exciting and overwhelming. Between classes, social pressure, and figuring out your future, it’s easy to feel stuck or burnt out. My therapy practice offers a supportive, judgment-free space to help you manage stress, anxiety, and major life transitions so you can feel more balanced and confident. Whether you’re navigating relationships, self-doubt, or big decisions, you don’t have to do it alone. Let’s work together to help you thrive.
I am a licensed psychologist and I support individuals and couples facing trauma-related mental health concerns, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and a wide range of identity concerns. At the heart of my work, I create empathic connections with the individuals I work with—creating spaces for them to explore and express all of themselves, and to feel seen, understood, and connected while doing so. Broadly, my approach is collaborative and compassionate, helping you understand what’s holding you back and develop new ways of being that foster empowerment, authenticity, and meaningful change. I work from a psychodynamic, trauma-informed perspective, which means we will explore how your experiences in your family, community, and culture have shaped how you see yourself, your relationships, and the world. I will encourage you to bring a curious developmental lens to our work and deeply consider the coping strategies you may have had to develop in your life in order to feel safe, connected to others, and worthy. Together, we will determine if these strategies are still helpful. When they aren't, we will creatively develop newer ways of being that feel meaningful and aligned with your goals. Throughout this process, we will be particularly attentive to the impact of socioeconomic, cultural, and political factors on your development and possible connections to present day challenges. I also regularly draw from somatic and cognitive-behavioral approaches, because lasting change often requires attending to the body, our narratives, and our behavioral patterns. Through this process, many people come to recognize unhelpful cycles in their lives and discover more fulfilling ways to move through challenges. Above all, I emphasize self-compassion as we work together, so that you can approach difficult or painful areas of your life with greater kindness and resilience.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you're used to handling everything on your own. Whether you're feeling anxious, emotionally drained, stuck in patterns you can't seem to break, or simply not feeling like yourself, you don't have to navigate it alone. I work with college students and young adults experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, depression, bipolar disorder, chronic illness, life transitions, relationship challenges, and overwhelming stress. Many of my clients are high achievers who appear to have everything together on the outside while struggling internally with self-doubt, perfectionism, or feeling emotionally exhausted. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, to help you better understand your thoughts and emotions, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to provide a space where you feel not only heard but truly understood. Together we'll work toward helping you feel more confident, resilient, and connected to the life you want to live.

Hi, I'm Courtney. As a therapist, I strive to create an environment of safety, curiosity, discovery, and courage for everyone seeking therapeutic services and I look forward to collaborating with people in creative ways to reach therapeutic goals. I strongly believe in the power of strength-based and client-centered practice and am devoted to creating opportunities for the people around me to achieve their own goals and exceed their own expectations for success. I show up as myself in the therapy room – integrating humor, storytelling, and metaphors. My holistic approach allows for clients to grow and learn more about themselves in new ways. Therapy with me is a judgment-free zone to help you gain perspective and understanding of your emotions, coping skills, and relational patterns. I recognize that therapy is a healing process, not a quick fix. I focus on the therapeutic relationship as a tool for helping you grow and heal at your own pace, and in a way that feels right for you. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Currently, my clients are primarily young adults. I hope that through working together, you can find self-compassion, curiosity, and healing through enriching your life and relationships. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have 7 years of experience. I have a Masters’ degree in Counseling Psychology from The University of Denver, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The State University of New York, at Oswego. I have lived in many beautiful states during my schooling and training from New York, to North Carolina, Colorado, New Jersey, and finally back to my hometown of Buffalo, New York. I love spending time with my family, friends, and dog. I love to spend time outdoors, ski, listen to music, cook new recipes, and travel. I am accepting new clients at this time, via telehealth services. I am an out-of-networker provider. I can provide you with a statement at the end of each month that you can submit for reimbursement. I look forward to meeting with you.

No two people are the same. Therefore, I strive to provide treatment that fits each person’s unique needs and goals. I work to foster a partnership with each individual that respects their own problem-solving style while providing additional tools to address unmet needs. I believe that everyone has strengths and challenges. Our work together can fortify those strengths while mitigating challenges to reduce stress and suffering in daily life. <script src="https://thrivingcampus.com/verified.js?pid=17291"></script>
We are a team of clinicians who are dedicated to providing culturally sensitive care. We meet our clients where they're at and support them in reaching their goals. We believe that our clients are the experts on themselves and we come alongside them in journey of growth. Whether you desire to address the symptoms or issues you're currently experiencing or if you want to get at the root of the symptoms, going back to past traumas, even to childhood, we're here to support you.
Oh college, it's "supposed" to be the best days of your life...whoever came up with that needs a serious reality check. I've been through it and have also worked with enough college students, young adults, and adults of all ages to say that for many of us, that statement is completely false. So please know that if you find that these are not the best days (or even if you feel that these are the worst days), you are not alone. There is nothing "wrong" with you and I am here to help. I unfortunately don't have a magic wand to transform your college experience into something you see in the movies, but I provide a combination of medication management and brief supportive therapy (a fancy way of saying I include some therapy during our 30 minute medication follow up appointments) that can help address concerns like depression, anxiety, obsessive thoughts, and mood disorders. I’ll work with you to create a personalized plan that meets your unique needs and helps you achieve your mental health goals. Talking about medication can be daunting. When I prescribe it, my goal isn’t to change who you are, but to help you rediscover what life can be like when your symptoms are managed. While medication won’t solve every issue, it can be a powerful tool alongside therapy and lifestyle changes, enabling you to reclaim your ability to thrive.
In my practice, I work with a diverse range of clients, each bringing unique stories, strengths, and challenges. Trauma can surface in many forms such as anxiety, self-doubt, or difficulty feeling safe in relationships or within oneself. My work focuses on creating a space rooted in safety, empowerment, and emotional insight, where you can begin to reconnect with yourself. My holistic, trauma-informed, and individualized approach draws from modalities including DBT, IFS, and CBT. Together, we will reframe unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen emotion regulation, and cultivate healthier coping skills. Through a strength-based and solution-focused lens, I help clients nurture the parts of themselves that need healing, foster self-compassion, and build a more positive sense of self and overall well-being. No matter where you are on your journey, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I bring warmth, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping you build resilience, deepen self-connection, and move toward thriving.
What if getting better didn't mean spending years talking about everything that's ever gone wrong? I work with college and grad students to build real, lasting change by providing insight and skills that actually help. With over a decade of clinical work in the US and abroad, I've helped young adults manage anxiety, quiet the perfectionism and imposter syndrome that follow them into every exam and internship, while creating a healthy type of confidence that remains under pressure. My clients describe working with me as supportive, direct, collaborative, and nothing like what they expected therapy to be. We figure out what's driving the pattern. Then we work on changing it. I specialize in: anxiety, burnout and stress, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and people-pleasing. My approach pulls from CBT, ACT, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness, grounded in a trauma-informed model. You don't have to have it figured out to start. Currently offering Online Therapy throughout Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, Vermont, and Florida. Whether you are in Boston, NYC, or Denver, I am ready when you are.

As a trauma-informed psychotherapist, I have repeatedly seen the benefits of targeting trauma directly in a consistent way. Supported by research, dealing with the most distressing incident(s) can more efficiently help you become more present in your life, enjoy things you had before, and create a future you want. My approach is supportive and goal-oriented, and I am here to help you in this journey. I focus on individual treatment. I enact treatments of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Written Exposure Therapy (WET). I also use Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Relationships (STAIR) to address trauma-related symptoms without targeting trauma. The goal of my practice is to strengthen individuals to help them create long-lasting positive effects in their lives.
