I am offering reduced rates to MSU students, I offer short term, long term and crisis counseling to MSU students. I can work with any students that are Michigan residents and I will do all sessions via teletherapy. The first step is always the most difficult. It takes courage to recognize the need for help, make the phone call and attend your first appointment. My initial goal of therapy is to establish trust with my patients. I accept them for who they are without judgement or bias, seek to understand them and move at their pace. I practice with a wide range of psychotherapy modalities and adjust my style and techniques based on your individual need. It is my goal to help you overcome your struggles and flourish. Therapy is not a quick fix, it takes time, effort and determination and I will be there supporting you during your journey. I provide treatment to those struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, eating disorders/obesity, self-esteem struggles, stress, family issues, and spirituality. I help my patients become aware of past patterns of behavior, thought processes and emotions that will have a lasting impact on the changes they make in their lives. These changes can affect many area’s in life including increased confidence, self-esteem, positive interpersonal relationships, and lasting change. I am a fully licenced Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience.

Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Lynchburg, VA

Licensed to offer therapy services in Virginia, Tennessee, and Michigan, Dr. Honeycutt is often sought out due to the advanced IFS (Level 3) training he received in 2010 under the model's founder, Dr. Richard Schwartz. With particular interest in how the ancient Judeo-Christian understanding of the psyche (soul) overlaps with modern theories of mental health, he has spoken on this subject at conferences, educational seminars, and university classrooms. Approaching work with clients from a Christian framework of psycho-spiritual health, Dr. Honeycutt combines modern-day techniques and psychological research with an ancient understanding of the human condition as created by God. Non-Christian clients who are interested in such an approach are also welcome. Sessions are typically offered online for those living outside the Lynchburg area.

Hey there! I know that therapy can feel intimidating, so let’s first acknowledge and congratulate your willingness to take a step toward healing. My goal is to come alongside and partner with you while we work through the different pains that life can bring us. I have experience working with individuals going through various struggles: depression, anxiety, relational conflict, faith issues, substance use, stress, grief, chronic pain, life transitions, self esteem. My approach to therapy is person centered and based on individual needs and goals. I will take time to develop a relationship with you to build trust and have this be a safe place. I have clinical training in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and certified as an advanced addiction and drug counselor. Also, I am able to provide a faith-based approach to therapy for those who are interested and request this. I have worked in community mental health agencies throughout the Grand Rapids area providing outpatient therapy for the last 7 years. I graduated with my bachelors degree in social work from Ferris State University and then received my masters in social work through Michigan State. I would love to partner with you and help overcome the barriers that are holding you back. You don’t have to do this alone. Fun facts: I have a 6 year old Golden Retriever named Jubilee :) I love the outdoors, I’m a certified scuba diver, I enjoy baking, and last but not least, despite getting my masters fromMichigan State I’m a huge Michigan Football fan! Therapy is the ultimate form of self care. It can lead to radical self-acceptance, allowing you to manifest the positive goals you have for your life. Seeking therapy traditionally has had barriers, and I know breaking those barriers will create a better, more accessible, revolutionary, and empathic society. My clinical interests include working with LGBTQIA+ issues, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, domestic violence, and times of adjustment and change. I come from person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-focused modalities. I utilize an eclectic approach in our sessions, as each client is different. I believe in a therapeutic relationship that is equal and balanced. Our goals will be mutual and dynamic. Psychologist
Muskegon, MI

Hello! My name is Erin. I specialize in working with clients with a variety of concerns including PTSD, sexual traumas, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, LGBTQIA concerns, women's issues, divorce, relationship concerns, neurodivergent and more. Therapy works best when my client is motivated for some kind of change, even if they may not know what that looks like. My role is to support them in their journey to find their path. Please note that in accordance to Michigan Law, I participate in monthly supervision meetings with a Ph.D Psychologist, Dr. Julie Davis. I use a combination of CBT, positive psychology, motivational interviewing and more to meet a client where they are. My approach is direct for those who prefer, and softer for those who need a lighter approach. I use humor with my clients and find the absurdities and ironies in life. I am also able to go to the dark places with my clients. I know what it’s like to feel lost and uncertain. I know what it’s like to experience hopelessness and feel a desire to live a more meaningful life. These are just a few of the reasons I became a therapist. Participating in my own therapy from a young age helped me understand I wanted to others navigate these difficult feelings for a more fulfilling life.

It is a privilege to hear a person’s life story and help them heal, grow, and navigate through challenges. I often utilize the relationship between mind and body to aid in becoming the healthiest version of oneself, mentally, emotionally, and physically. I have worked in Community Mental Health settings for the last 13 years doing crisis work, assessments, and therapy. I am currently the therapist for the Mental Health Court in Clinton County and working at Therapy Today part-time. In the past, I worked in various outpatient and residential settings with adolescents, adults, and couples. I did conflict resolution with Friend of the Court participants in West Michigan.
