Therapists for college students near Ann Arbor, MI
I am currently providing teletherapy for clients anywhere in Michigan. As a clinician, I focus on each individual and enjoy pulling out their strengths. I have experience working with individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, poverty, housing crisis, parenting struggles, and trauma. I am easygoing and enjoy listening to others, solving problems, and pushing forward by taking things one step at a time. I strive to be welcoming, patient, and I listen to understand. I am passionate about building relationships and to be a support person in your corner. It is a courageous step when a person chooses to open up and an honor to join their life journey. I am here to walk alongside children, adolescents, and adults struggling with depression and anxiety. My therapy style is all about meeting you where you are. We will start by getting to know each other and building a therapeutic relationship. I will bring a calm presence along with a positive energy. I enjoy working with kids through play therapy. With adolescents and adults I am all about being solution focused and finding new ways to build on coping skills that can be used long term. Contact me for a free 15 minute consultation to see if I am a good fit for you.

Gordon Greer is an outpatient therapist with extensive experience working with teens, adults and families in outpatient mental health and inpatient psychiatric settings. He currently works with teens, adults and their families concerning a wide range of issues, including (but not limited to) anger, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, insomnia, sexual and gender identity (Gordon is an LGBTQIA+ ally), interpersonal relationships, personality disorders, traumatic stress, suicidality, and chemical and process addiction. Because of his sensitivity to the possible apprehension involved with anything new or personal, Gordon places a particular emphasis on helping clients and families feel at ease from the very beginning. His relaxed approach is primarily informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing, both evidence-based treatments. Gordon also is a certified alcohol and drug counselor trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Outside of session, he enjoys sports, going outside, dry humor, and being with his wife, sons and dog.
As a visual artist who uses creative processes to support mental health, I work with those who gravitate towards writing, music, dance, and visual arts. My personal understanding of the creative process and how it can be adapted to support people emotionally and mentally comes into play as we work together to create a safe place for exploration. I especially love working with young adults who are defining their identity and dealing with anxiety and overwhelm during this transition. I look forward to seeing how your creativity can be used as a strength in your times of need. accepting virtual and in-person appointments.

Therapy for ADHD brains, overthinkers, and anyone wondering, “what now?” I work with teens and young adults navigating ADHD, life transitions, relationship stress, and the lasting impact of past experiences. Many clients come feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. My approach is warm, collaborative, and supportive. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s getting in the way, develop practical tools that fit your life, and create meaningful change. My goal is for therapy to be a space where you feel understood, comfortable being fully yourself, and empowered to move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Before starting my work in private practice in 2021, I worked closely with teens and families navigating complex school and justice systems. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in helping individuals and families navigate challenging, high-stress situations with compassion, empathy, and care. Reaching out for help is an act of vulnerability and courage. I'm glad you're here! Let's connect and schedule a free consultation call to explore whether we may be a good fit. :)
Making the step toward healing is a courageous choice, and in knowing how vulnerable this process can be, I strive to provide a safe, accepting environment for those who are ready to open themselves up to this growth. I believe that all humans are inherently worthy, and I will support you in uncovering this within yourself. There are many obstacles that can get in the way of aligning with your core values and the life you desire, and my goal is to guide you in the learning and unlearning process that can help reconnect you with your true self.
